As previously announced the PowerSport Show event ”will depend on the circumstances and regulations surrounding Covid 19 virus”. It became apparent that the health and safety of our volunteers, vendors and attendees could not be guaranteed. ”. After much discussion, vendor input and the virus guidelines the Board had little choice but to cancel the show. As most members are aware this is a major fundraiser for PSSA. In spite of the lack of a show our faithful sponsors – Blizzard Trailers and BRP will continue to donate a BIG trailer and an ATV for the raffle. Tickets for both will be included in your renewal packet. This situation highlights the fact that PSSA needs to develop more ways to increase our finances. Options for more activities have been and will continue to be explored by the Board. If you have any ideas please e-mail them to Chick Walter, Board Secretary at (walter.charles@rocketmail.com). Donations are always welcome and appreciated.
Grant applications were sent to the clubs in the last week or two. Clubs are advised to read the application forms carefully. Please contact Lisa Vallimont, Grant Administrator, at lv051066@gmail.com. with your questions.
PSSA has promoted snowmobile recreation across the state for many years. It takes time and money to sponsor a website, attend meetings and keep members informed of issues. What can you do? Businesses in your area or where you ride need to be contacted to offer discounts to PSSA members. Fellow snowmobile riders should be encouraged to join PSSA. Suggestions have been made for clubs to sponsor a snowmobile ride (include elected officials) or have sub sales to name a few. PSSA has given much to clubs and the sport – now we need everyone to help in any way they can.
Please be Safe! Enjoy the summer!
Think Snow!
Liz Krug, President
Note: Show canceled but TRAILER and ATV are being donated to PSSA to raffle. We thank Blizzard and BRP.
