The Annual Membership Meeting will be held on Wednesday April 21, 2021 from 7:30 – 9:00 pm. This will remain a virtual meeting via Zoom. You must register on-line to receive the communication information. You can still use your phone to participate but you must register or call Kathy Woolever for the phone information. Please indicate any questions you have as we will try to answer them in the reports.
Please send your nominations for the PSSA Awards to Rich Hayes, Vice-President as soon as possible. We would like to announce them at this meeting.
All clubs were e-mailed “Club Data and Trail Grooming and Maintenance Worksheets”. Please complete those asap as the information is needed to update our files and determine the value/contributions PSSA makes to snowmobile recreation in the state.
Yes, there is a Raffle. There are more prizes. Tickets should arrive in the near future.
The PowerSport Committee is researching the possibility of holding a Show this year. Stay tuned.
A Committee is studying the possibility of extending the Allegheny National Forest Trail to Lantz Corners in McKean County near Kane, PA. It is also researching a way to safely cross Route 6 near there. This is the first phase of a multi-year project to extend the trail from the Kinzua Bridge area east to Crosby, Smethport, Potter County and beyond.
BRP has announced that they will produce electric models in all of their product line by 2026. Also Taiga announced plans to build a mass -production assembly facility in Quebec to ramp up production of electric off-road vehicles by 2022. Snowmobiles will be included in the first phase.
