Hello from the Glendale Lake Snowmobile Club. Wow, what a great winter. And wow, it seemed to end fast and too early. Hopefully you got your share of riding in. Many club members reported riding record miles this year. See our Club Facebook page for riding ideas for next year. See where snow was found and some pictures of the awesome Pennsylvania scenery that can only be seen via snowmobile. And a shout out is certainly well deserved to all the local clubs and DCNR who all worked very diligently to provide us all with the wonderfully groomed trails that we experienced this year. Thank you, Thank you for your help in creating a winter wonderland for all us sledders!
Also check out the special club activity found elsewhere in this publication and on FaceBook. The Glendale Lake Snowmobile Club takes great pride in not only what we do for snowmobilers but in what we do for all outdoor recreationalists in the area. And our community activities are another area of accomplishment. From creating and maintaining trails for bicyclists, hikers, horseback riders and cross country skiers to highway cleanups, Snow Angle checks, Donating to those in need and special activities. This is just another example of the club at work:

An in person club meeting was held March 1st and planning has already begun for new trail plans and construction for the coming year. At least three new trails are in the works. Possibly four. Please attend our next club meeting on April 5th to learn more. We also finalized the Board terms for the coming three years and elected a new secretary. And we had a volunteer step up to help us develop a Web Page. A very productive meeting!
It was reported that the PSSA PA Snowmobiler survey results have been published. Our club is anxious to see some of the initiatives outlined in the survey to come to fruition. Our Club has already benefited from the PSSA Mini Grants that assisted with the construction of our first trail and we’re anxious to work with PSSA on continuing to improve the snowmobiler experience in PA. The Club also nominated Robert Housley for PSSA District 9 Regional Director. Rob will take the post on April 21st at the PSSA Board and Annual meeting. Rob replaces Tim Holtz, also from our club, who has served his three year term. Thanks to Tim and Rob for representing our Club, Region and Snowmobilers so well.
