HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
I hope this newsletter finds everyone well! The last several months have been certainly trying times for those who have lost their jobs/sick from the virus/kids at home. Please follow your local regulations. Take the time to contact your neighbors and family members. We all need socialization. Although you cannot snowmobile you can still get out and enjoy nature. Revive your soul. We all need that.
Since many are experiencing financial hardship PSSA will hold any late renewals until the regular mailing in the fall. The needs of your family are the priority.
The Board has been “following” the virus for the past several months. Facts are the driving force of decisions to be made. Decisions are not always easy. There are too many unknowns at this time. Given the State Guidelines the Board has decided to change the Membership Meeting on August 22, 2020 to a Conference Call /Zoom Meeting. The Business Meeting will begin at 11am. Any member who has a phone will be able to listen and participate. The PSSA awards will be announced and will be distributed to the winner by the Regional Director and the person who did the nomination. The Raffle will be held at 1:00 pm. More details will be distributed in the August newsletter.
Thank you to our First Responders: Nurses, Doctors, Aides, EMT’s, Firemen, Policemen, Teachers and Social Workers. Their dedication and hard work have helped all of us. THANK YOU!
The PowerSport Show Committee is doing preliminary work as has been done in the past. Again the virus data/Guidelines will determine whether we have the show or not. The Safety and Security of our members, volunteers, attendees and vendors is our priority. Again it is stressful to not be able to make a final decision at this time. This Show is a major fundraisers for PSSA. Dates for the Show are October 30, 31 and November 1.
Finally I want to thank the Ramada Golf and Conference Center and the Lebanon Valley Expo Center for their willingness to work with PSSA in these trying times.
Have a Safe and Enjoyable Summer!
Think Snow!
