Hi, everyone!
The colorful leaves of the season are falling fast and furious and we will see signs of winter soon. I am sure trail work has started everywhere across our state and groomers are ready and waiting!
On October 25th through the 27th, 2024, we held our much anticipated Powersports Show following a five year hiatus due to the various restrictions related to COVID and to inventory procurement issues for our vendors. We changed facilities to the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds and were very pleased with this new location and the participation of the vendors and attendees. This move to the Bloomsburg area was well received! Our vendors all reported better than predicted sales and enjoyed the venue.
As she has done in the past, Michele Palmer from Blizzard Trailer Sales of Booneville, NY, again generously donated both a four place trailer and a two place trailer for our raffle. We would like to thank Michele and all the vendors that participated this year. Many mentioned they are ready and willing to return in 2025. PSSA also welcomed Brad Smith and members with the Pennsylvania Off Highway Vehicles Association (PAOHV) who came alongside us as a presenting sponsor. We are very grateful to Best Line Powersports, Five Star Powersports, and Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area (AOAA) for sponsoring the show with us.
I would especially like to thank Travis Mathna, PSSA Region 5 Director, and Maura Donley and Kathy Woolever from SOTactics, Inc., for their professional help in coordinating this great event again this year. We could not have done this without them or without all of the volunteers that came out to the show to support PSSA.
The raffle winners are available in this issue – congratulations to all the winners!
PSSA is still working to increase registration in a way that most benefits Pennsylvania snowmobilers and the trails we ride as well as working on the spring mini grants.
We’re excited to start up our first full riding season with MapGears! Please be sure to visit our MapGears page for more information on this trail conditions map app. https://www.pasnow.org/trail-guide/
