Hello, everyone!
There are signs everywhere of summer ending, with children going back to school, a few leaves falling off the trees, and temps starting to fall as well. This time of year also brings trail maintenance and project lists front and center for all of our clubs. Mini grants were dispersed and ten clubs across our state received money totaling $40,000.00! Be sure to check out the funding opportunities during the spring and fall grant rounds.
At this time, we are proud to announce that PSSA was awarded a grant for $70,000.00 from DCNR to fund MapGears and miscellaneous club maintenance grants for the 2025 season. Be sure to check out this important source of funding for your clubs! We will keep you informed when the applications are available and due back to PSSA. This will be closer to spring time. A big thank you to Lori Elliott for all her guidance and help in writing these grant requests.
Our PowerSports Show is back and better than ever this October 25 – 27, 2024. This is a perfect opportunity to get your club recognized and involved. Consider volunteering to help out in one of the many areas that need assistance. Please consider securing a booth – it will help you tell all of our attendees about your club, your trails and attract new members. Start making your plans to attend the show and/or to volunteer to help out!
The Fall Raffle tickets will be arriving with your PSSA membership renewal. Once again, thank you to Michele Palmer from Blizzard Manufacturing/North South Connection. She is donating a four place trailer as well as a two place trailer. This raffle is so important to help finance PSSA’s many areas of support for the snowmobiling in our state, and in turn we can help fund all of our PA snowmobile clubs with mini grant money. So please buy or sell your tickets!
Thanks again,
Rich Hayes
